read using the phonetic method. A set of six to eight
readers is read at each level. Students learn grammar,
essay writing, vocabulary, spelling, poems and songs.
They learn to use dictionaries and encyclopedias for

discuss them in class, and use these as a base to develop
and give speeches to support their opinions.

addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions
and average geometry and algebra. Students also memorize
the multiplication tables.

on the computer during center time.
In Social Studies, students learn about the sacrifices
of brave people and develop a sense of patriotism. They

and current developments worldwide. Project work helps

health through the consumption of healthy food. Students
participate in fitness exercises on a daily basis.
Spanish is learned through songs and poems. Students
learn vocabulary and use these in class discussions.
